Parents and Guardians,

Just a reminder that your student will be taking the Pre-ACT on Monday, September 18, 2017. It will be important that all students arrive on time and report to their first hour class. This opportunity will provide each student with experience necessary to find success on the ACT which will be given during their junior year of high school.

We appreciate your support and wish you a wonderful evening!

Lisa Fletcher

LNHS Administrator

Dear Parents of All Incoming 12th Graders,

All incoming 12th graders are Required to have a Meningitis vaccine (after the age of 16 years old) before the first day of school!

  • If your student had a Meningitis Vaccine BEFORE age 16, he or she will still need ONE more Meningitis vaccine before the first day of school.
  • If the first vaccine was given AFTER age 16, your incoming senior does NOT need a meningitis vaccine before the first day of school.
  • If the student has had 2 Meningitis vaccines before age 16 - YES they will need ONE before the first day of school.

You can receive this vaccine through your health provider, some local pharmacies or the Clay County Health Dept. (816-595-4200).  Make your appointment soon in order to ensure this is complete before the first day of school.

Please call the Liberty North Health Office with any questions!

15 members of the Liberty North DECA Chapter joined over 500 high school marketing students from Northwest Missouri at the annual District Career Development conference on Friday, February 3rd at the UMKC Bloch School of Business in Kansas City MO.  Liberty North brought home 27 finalist medals, 12 trophies, and 3 District titles.  Nine students will continue on to compete at the Missouri State Career Development conference, which will be held March 12-14 at Lake Ozark, MO. Approximately 1700 high school competitors will attend the 3 day conference and competition.

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges round the globe.  DECA conferences are targeted, highly-focused learning experiences for students and advisors. DECA conferences bring members into the larger DECA community while providing unique opportunities to extend classroom learning.  Each of DECA's conferences connects with corporate professionals to engage students in learning industry-related trends and content.  Kristen Hittner and Alexis Leggett serve as the local DECA chapter advisors  at LNHS.
